Remember, last week we offered you some good sweet take-away addresses. Today, we invite you to delight yourself with savory food: here are two small authentic restaurants that serve fresh and local products.

MOZ in Baie Mahault
This small canteen with a half-urban, half-Creole decor became in a very short time an essential spot in the village. After studying in various restaurants abroad, Margaux returns from Australia with an idea in mind: to open Moz on the island of her childhood. Here, you can eat very well all year round. Thibault Barbafieri, Top Chef 2018, is developing ultra-fresh and inventive cuisine that gives pride of place to local fishing and seasonal vegetables. On site or in take away (biodegradable packaging), local customers rush at noon to enjoy the healthy recipes of the day or just have a good Barista coffee. An invitation to unwind in a pleasant setting.

SOOPASOUP in Sainte-Anne
Laurence Rugard launched her concept of Ayurvedic soups two years ago. She starts on the beach and then installs a container in her garden. She then sets up stools and tables in the shade of the trees because the customers stay at the bar and chat. The recipe is very simple: a soup served in a Kwi (traditional container) made from organic vegetables or purchased from small producers, toppings of your choice (shrimps, wassous, fish, chicken, etc.) and crunchy vegetables. The heat of the soup allows better digestion of raw vegetables. It's light, good for the body and we enjoy ourselves. In addition, sweet potato and Madeira fries are offered, a delight! Special mention for homemade juices: turmeric, lemon, lemon, ginger or pineapple, basil. Sometimes it's easy to do yourself some good.
