Constant attention to our environment
Reducing our ecological footprint is part of our daily life. We have set up the selective sorting throughout the establishment, from rooms to common areas, and let's collaborate with a local service provider for waste collection (cardboard, glass, electronics, green waste, etc.).
Our teams are also aware of how to reduce their waste production. A specific bonus has been established to encourage the reduction of paper consumption, and we favor sustainable solutions such as refillable pump bottles and systematic sorting.
Les LED lights are gradually replacing the old system, and increased vigilance is being paid to our energy consumption to identify future areas for improvement.
Our customers are also invited to participate in this collective effort, through simple actions: reuse of napkins, waste sorting, paper reduction thanks to QR codes in the room. Each initiative counts, and everyone can become an actor in a more sustainable stay.
We also participate in Green Days Guadeloupe, in particular through beach cleaning operations with our employees.
An enhancement of our culture
We are proud of our roots, and it seems essential to us to maintain and promote Guadeloupean culture. Every Wednesday, our teams wear the local colors to celebrate the Creole day, while our customers can participate in Didiko course for free, this traditional music so vibrant.
The hotel regularly hosts craft markets to highlight local producers and artisans. And through the Créole Jazz Club and the Créole Jazz Festival, we support the Antillean artistic scene by giving great visibility to talents of the territory.
Gastronomy also plays a central role in our approach. We strive to have a strong involvement in our territory by promoting local shopping, especially in catering, where we favour seasonal products from short supply chains. This makes it possible to support Guadeloupean producers, to introduce our guests to the authentic flavors of the island, and to offer committed cuisine that respects the environment and the land.
Our concierge service also offers environmentally friendly excursions and rich in meaning: discovery of the mangrove, workshops to raise awareness about biodiversity, immersion with artisans... Another way to discover Guadeloupe, in depth.
A strong and concrete social commitment
Our CSR commitment is also reflected in a strong link with the local community. The majority of our employees come from the region, and we promote internal promotion and long careers. The quality of life at work is one of our priorities, with regular actions such as wellness days dedicated to our teams. Health and safety at work are also at the heart of our concerns, with regular trainings (PRAP, SET).
Our commitment goes beyond the walls of the hotel. As a local player, we actively support projects that make sense. We are partners of the Flexcible Football Cup, a socio-educational initiative that uses sport as a lever for cohesion and emancipation for young people. We also participated in the convention organized by Cap Excellence on women's rights, to raise awareness among professionals and the general public about gender equality.
Through our partnership with the association Little Nappy — Terranga, we support the support of aging migrants, who are often isolated in the face of health issues, access to rights or the transition to retirement.
Culture is also at the heart of our commitments, with the support of Guadeloupe Gospel Festival And to American scriptures, real windows into Caribbean artistic wealth.
