IMMERSION IN THE HEART OF THE CANOPY AND WHITE WATERS
Set off on an unforgettable adventure at the top of the tropical forest, meeting the wildlife and natural treasures of Basse-Terre.
Your excursion starts directly from your hotel, where you will join your guide for a total immersion in the green lung of Guadeloupe. You will discover the Mamelles Zoological Park, a real sanctuary dedicated to the protection of biodiversity nestled in a lush setting of four hectares. As you walk along the shaded trails, you will observe local and exotic wildlife up close, from majestic jaguars to playful raccoons (the famous racoon), not to mention monkeys, parrots and iguanas living in an environment that faithfully reproduces their natural habitat.
For the more adventurous, the park offers a unique sensory experience on suspension bridges over twenty meters high. This canopy walk allows you to circulate at the top of the trees, offering a rare and breathtaking perspective on the botanical wealth of the humid forest. It is the ideal opportunity to admire the tree ferns and wild orchids while enjoying the absolute calm of the peaks of the big woods, far from any urban hustle and bustle.
On the way back, the experience is extended by an unmissable stop at the Cascade aux Écrevisses, located on the famous Route de la Traversée. This iconic site invites you to a refreshing nature break, where you can watch the waterfall crash into its natural pool surrounded by greenery.
