1. Commitment to Privacy Protection

Personal data protection laws are changing as of May 25, 2018, within the European Union.

As such, we are updating our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. We draw your attention to your rights regarding the personal data we collect and use. You can therefore, at any time, decide to modify or delete the information you share with us.

Personal data (e.g., email, name, etc.) is information collected on our website, in Leader Hotels hotels, or transmitted by our external service providers (booking engines, etc.) that allows you to be identified as a natural person.

This personal data protection policy is part of the general terms and conditions that govern our hotel services. By accepting our general terms and conditions, you expressly agree to the provisions of this personal data protection policy, particularly in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our partners and/or subcontractors currently include: Hertz, D-Edge, PayPal, I-planet, Travelport, NP6, and Assurever.

We may update this privacy policy periodically. Therefore, we encourage you to regularly review this page.

2. What personal data is collected?

By browsing our Site, participating in one of our competitions, or upon arrival at one of our hotel chains, you may be asked to provide us with personal data directly.

On our Site, mandatory information is marked with an asterisk because it is essential to process your request. Other information is intended to help us better understand you and offer you tailored services and/or products. It is optional.

We collect and process your first and last name, email address, address, telephone number, credit card number, IP address, login data, and browsing data. Some data is collected automatically as a result of your actions on the Site. Through our partners, particularly when booking a hotel room, a hotel + flight package, or by following us on various social media, you may also provide various personal data. In this case, we invite you to consult the privacy policies of each of these partners.

Sensitive transactions (bank details, etc.) are transmitted securely using encryption and authentication algorithms. These secure transactions are identifiable by the presence of a closed padlock in most browsers.

More specifically, it is specified that for payment purposes, bank details are collected and may be stored by our payment service providers.

However, we do not control all the risks associated with the operation of the Internet and draw Internet users’ attention to the existence of potential risks inherent in its use and operation.

The sending of our emails and newsletters is currently subcontracted to the company NP6. We invite you to consult their privacy policy.

3. What do we do with your personal data?

By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to benefit from our best commercial travel offers to the islands under the name Des Hotels & Des Îles or that of one of the hotels in our hotel chain.

You may receive:
• Our best offers of the week
• A special offer for your birthday
• Flash sales
• Invitations to participate in contests offering stays to be won
• Offers for themed stays such as honeymoons, golf trips, family vacations, etc.
• Offers for stays related to a specific destination, etc.

The personal data collected directly is under no circumstances sold, shared, or loaned to other companies outside of Des Hotels & Des Îles and the hotels in our hotel chain. In each of our emails, you have the option to unsubscribe by clicking on the link at the bottom of the email.

Data from persons under 18 years of age may only be provided to us by an adult. Please ensure that your children do not provide us with any personal data without your permission. If such a disclosure occurs, you may contact us to have this information deleted.

4. Retention of your personal data

We retain your personal data only for the period necessary for the purposes set out here or in accordance with Law No. 2018-493 of June 20, 2018, relating to the protection of personal data.
